Born and raised in New England, Jeanne Seronde Perkins has been living and making art on Mount Desert Island for close to forty years. She exhibits in Maine, as well as other states in the U.S. and abroad. Her work is in over 100 private collections. She also leads workshops for children and adults in watercolor, silk painting and collage.
"My work is a dance with the unexpected. It feels at times like a tightrope of joy and resistance. I do a lot of experimenting. The aim is to pare down to what is essential. "
